Whether stretching and yawning from a good sleep, enjoying a brisk walk in the early morning, sipping a replenishing drink after a workout or enjoying time in the sun, I feel refreshed. I move forward into my next activity with a renewed feeling of well-being.
Building upon and refreshing my knowledge may relieve me from thinking too much about my obligations. Investing time with a good book and/or revisiting favorite passages from my favorite writing can provide a relaxing mental pause.
I refresh my awareness of my DIVINITY with prayer, meditation, and or contemplation. IT is inherent wherever I am, whatever I am doing. It is easy to find the DIVINE reflected in the people and animals I encounter and in the natural beauty that surrounds me.
With understanding, I keep my cool in mind and body.
UNDERSTANDING is an innate POWER in everyone. IT is used to know, comprehend, and perceive. Seeking to understand provides information and insight, which eases my reactivity. In any agitating circumstance, I practice understanding to remain calm. If I’m tempted to lose my cool, I remember my POWER of UNDERSTANDING; I comprehend how to keep my emotional thermostat dialed down.
Perhaps poet Rudyard Kipling was referring to understanding in his poem “If” when he wrote the importance of “keep[ing] your head when all about you are losing theirs and blaming it on you.”
Properly mastered, I combine my POWERs of UNDERSTANDING, STRENGTH, and OMNIPRESENCE to be a beacon of light in times of trouble or crisis.
Whatever this day may bring, I always carry the light of understanding with me. I am cool in my mind and body.
With understanding, I keep my cool in mind and body.
Each new day, the sun rises on a world full of wonders. I spark my interest and kindle my excitement in response to the magnificence of the natural world, the many fascinating things there are to learn, and the many displays of creativity around me.
When I shrink from life, when my interest in exploration wanes, I may lose my zeal and passion. Then I remember the Power of Zeal is an aspect of my innate DIVINITY. To regain my excitement, I become more proactive in my life. I break out of comfortable habits and routines. I “zealitiously” try new things and meet new people. If I feel intimidated, I remind myself that I am fully DIVINE and fully human. PRINCIPLE and LAW are everywhere available for my use. As my interests grows, so does my excitement.
