In The Story of Unity, James Dillet Freeman tells a story from the Unity movement’s early days. During a period of financial insufficiency, staff gathered to pray. An associate said, “Let us pray that the money holds out.” Cofounder Myrtle Fillmore countered, “Oh no. Let us pray that our faith holds out.”
Today I remember the importance of the POWER of FAITH as the foundation of my faith, my belief, in all my endeavors. Like everyone, I will desire all kinds of things during my lifetime. More money, more time, greater harmony, to name a few. While praying for specifics is important, I always start by synchronizing my humanity with my DIVINITY because the POWER of FAITH is the foundation of all beliefs. I choose where I place my faith.
