In Charles Fillmore’s Jesus Christ Heals, pg. 29, we learn: “God is LOVE: that from which all loving springs.” In Myrtle Fillmore’s Healing Letters, pg. 37, We learn that: “GOD is LOVE; we make DIVINE LOVE into loving.” To be loving means to be kind, understanding, and generous. It means forgiving grievances easily and seeking to understand myself and others.
In wanting to be loving towards others, I begin with myself. Exercising self-compassion and grace when I make a mistake makes forgiving others easier. Investing time for self-care makes it more natural for me to be a nurturing presence for others. Treating myself well helps make my generosity and benevolence spontaneous and frequent.
My DIVINITY is LOVE; my humanity is loving. My loving nature is positive, optimistic, hopeful, and faithful.
As the particle is to the wave, so is my humanity to my DIVINITY. Today I celebrate ONENESS, DIVINITY. I also rejoice in my humanity knowing every person is unique and distinct. No matter what my station is in life, my personal history, or my circumstances, I am a valued member of the human family.
A true sense of belonging is one of the most satisfying feelings. It’s knowing I am at home, fully accepted just as I am, and valued for my unique contributions.
I extend this understanding to everyone. I look beyond appearances and even my own preconceived notions to see the DIVINITY in everyone. I honor their unique gifts, just as I would want them to honor mine.
In our humanity, we belong together; in DIVINITY there is only ONENESS.
JOY is one of the PRINCIPLES that GOD is. We use it to feel joy and happiness.
Joy-spotting is the act of going through life searching for the things, people, and acts to which I respond with joy. There is a correlation between my discoveries and my response to them, but they do not cause the joy and happiness I feel. I do.
Some examples may be weddings, births, graduations, and celebrations of all kinds. I also experience joy in response to the simpler moments of daily life. Examples are a sunrise or sunset, morning prayer, familiar people, and the satisfaction of my work.
I respond with joy when I experience my favorite things and in the moment of a sweet surprise discovering something new and different.
I respond with joy during spiritual practices, especially meditation having synchronized my humanity with my DIVINITY.
I am grateful for the people who have understood how to comfort me when I was feeling down. They listened when I needed to talk and blessed me with their kindness. Often they didn’t need to say a word or do anything more than be with me for a while. Their understanding presence was what I really needed.
Even if I am without the comforting presence of another, I can find comfort in my inherent DIVINITY. I need not feel self-conscious about needing comfort or how I express my feelings. As I open my heart to my DIVINITY, I use innate UNDERSTANDING and LOVE to accept myself completely, just as I am. I know the PRINCIPLE of LOVE is unconditional. As I lean into my DIVINITY, my sadness diminishes. Healing peace flows through my entire being as I am comforted.
I affirm WHOLENESS with my thoughts, words, and actions.
The PRINCIPLE of WHOLENESS is part of my true nature. Even if I am facing a health challenge, DIVINE LIFE, HEALTH, and WHOLENESS are active in every cell of my body. Knowing this, I hold thoughts of wholeness and speak life-affirming words. I give my body the rest, nourishment, and care that will help it to restore health. I refuse to allow thoughts of sickness or weakness to grow in my consciousness. I seek support among friends and family who share my belief in WHOLENESS.
I feel honored when I’m asked to support WHOLENESS for others during prayer. I look beyond any appearance of illness, and with faith-filled vision, I decree that the PRINCIPLE of WHOLENESS is fully present in those for whom I pray. Their innate bodily intelligence uses IT to restore total health with ease and grace.
I affirm WHOLENESS with my thoughts, words, and actions.
If someone asks me how I’m feeling, I may smile and simply respond, “I am blessed.” I may have bills to pay, maybe a few aches and pains, but I remain aware that I am fully human and fully DIVINE. I know wherever I am, whatever I am doing, I can put a demand on my DIVINITY with my very next thought.
While I may not believe challenging events are blessings, I will feel blessed when I respond to them from the awareness of my DIVINITY. Rather than reacting anxiously, I proceed calmly with ease and grace. I have confidence that I can always use Divine Order (mind-idea-expression) to change my thinking. Knowing I am blessed, I pray that others recognize that they, too, are blessed.
I live centered in the awareness that, wherever I am, I am 100% DIVINE and 100% human. In every moment I am using my DIVINITY to express my humanity.
Grace is often defined as undeserved favor. Grace is not earned; I freely give it to myself and others. Grace assures me that I am never alone on my journey through life, that no matter what I do or fail to do, I am unconditional love.
Grace touches every area of my life. In a lonely moment, grace is the overwhelming awareness that I am love and am loved. It is the surprising way through a challenge I considered unsolvable. It is my whole body suddenly glowing with the power of divine life, even as I experience a health challenge. These are just some of the ways I experience grace.
So much of modern life involves time alone and solitary effort. The more conveniences I acquire, the less time I may seem to have. When I find myself spending too much time alone, it’s good for me to invest time and effort in my relationships. Togetherness is a way to remember life is about more than work and business, and I am part of something greater than myself.
Time invested in others blesses and enriches me. It calls me to share of myself and remain open to others’ journeys and ways of looking at life I may not have considered. Togetherness is a balm for my soul, a way to feel the DIVINE reflected in those with whom I share this wonderful planet. I am part of the wondrous human family, and I celebrate our togetherness.
How often have I felt disappointed when something did not work out as I had planned or hoped, only to discover a benefit I had not anticipated.
Understanding that a seeming obstacle may actually be an unrecognized opportunity, I resist the temptation to wonder why the setback is happening. Instead, I center myself and align with my innate DIVINITY so I can discern what is mine to do. I may become aware that another time would be better for pursuing my plan, or perhaps an insight will arise from what appeared to be failure, from which I could perceive a way forward that will accomplish even greater good.
I use DIVINE ORDER (mind – idea – manifestation) to be patient and trusting in all situations. I use it to create the best outcomes.
Today I offer a blessing of gratitude for the loving, nurturing spirit of mothers. I bless my mother and those who have shared a mother’s love by supporting me throughout my life. I think of the many ways they have been present for me over the years with unconditional acceptance and love.
I envision all the mothers, grandmothers, and caregivers throughout the world surrounded by love and light. For those in my life, I express my love and appreciation with words of affirmation, hugs, gifts, acts of service, and quality time together. To mothers-to-be, I prayerfully affirm health and ever- deepening joy. For mothers no longer in the world, I hold them in loving prayer with thoughts of joy and gratitude. I bless their souls’ ongoing journeys, knowing bonds of love keep their memories alive.
