Joy

I am I AM. Joy abides in me. I am joyful!

While receiving a gift I may feel happy while unadorned joy is itself one the greatest gifts I can give myself. I use joy to lift my heart. Joy increases my health and sense of well-being. As I exude happiness, others are uplifted as well.

Joy may be quiet, such as the tug at my heart I feel when I see a child happily playing. It may be boisterous, like shared laughter that brings tears to my eyes. Yet all joy is an experience of the heart – it springs forth from the depths of my Divinity.

Joy is always just a thought away. When I am experiencing stress in my life, I remember my many blessings, I think of kindnesses given and received. I choose to simply sing a happy tune. Joyful songs cheer my heart.

I lift my spirits by recalling the good I have witnessed in so many people and circumstances. I am I AM. Joy abides in me. I am joyful!

Love

I AM Divine. I am Love. I am loving.

Love is one of our most important Powers. It is our innate capacity to desire, harmonize and unify. I use my Power of Love to connect us with others when there seems to be no way. It begins with desire. I must first desire to connect and heal. Then the Power of Love harmonizes and unifies my consciousness around my desire to connect with others. I have thoughts, ideas and images that are about connecting myself with others. I act on them in productive ways.

As I prepare for the celebration of the birth of Jesus, I am reminded that he said to “Love your neighbor as yourself” (Matthew 22:38). I must desire to see my neighbor’s Divinity. I must desire to be at peace and in harmony with my neighbor. My desire to love them harmonizes and unifies my consciousness so that I do feel love for my neighbor.

Using my Power of Love, I desire to be kind and caring. My love finds expression as kindness to strangers as well as friends and family. The gifts I give and receive are symbols of the warmth and affection we share.

I use the Power of Love to desire to be compassionate for those in need. My mind harmonizes thought, ideas and images so that I know how to be compassionate with those in need. My love – my desire – for community is expressed with each smile or kind word I offer to others. I AM Divine. I am love. I am loving.

Peace

Centered in the awareness of Oneness, I am peace-filled.

I choose to begin this day and every day in the Silence. I am at peace. I radiate peace as I go about my day. My peaceful presence emanates serenity where I go. In any encounter with someone who is stressed or upset, I respond with calm rather than stress.

My sense of peace is established and centered in my Divinity. It is readily accessible. Because nobody and nothing can disturb my peace of mind, the calm peace of my soul remains undisturbed.

If my imagination should create a worrisome scenario, I respond by centering in the Oneness I Am. I faithfully remember I can work all things together for good. I think clearly. I act confidently. I am calm and serene. I re-establish my awareness of peace. I am peace-filled.

Faith and Imagination

I use Faith and Imagination to be Christ,

my Divine Potential.

Some say seeing is believing. Research shows we tend to see through the lens of our beliefs. In other words, we tend to see based on what we believe. This is where the Power of Faith comes in. It is our ability to believe. Charles Fillmore called it “the perceiving power of the mind linked with the power to shape substance.” In this sense, Faith is linked with the Power of Imagination. We use Faith to believe in something in our minds before there is any evidence of it in the outer realm of empirical forms.

I invest time in meditation and prayer to establish an awareness of my Divine Potential. I believe I am Christ; I am Infinite Potential expressing finitely. The more I believe I am Christ the more easily I see it in others and myself. As I use Faith to perceive my Divine Identity I use Imagination to give It substance in mind – give It shape and from in my mind. I see It more clearly in my mind’s eye. This enables me to be the Christ I already am more and more each day.

Family and friends

I love and support family and friends. I see their Divinity.

A towering pine or mighty oak draws on rain, sunshine, air, and soil to thrive. Similarly, I grow through the comfort, inspiration, ideas, and enrichment I receive from others – friends and family.

I have the family I was born into and the “family” I choose. Family can be a vital part of my spiritual support system. I experience and see their innate Divinity as I know my own. Today I give thanks for my family and friends who are important to me. I strengthen my connection through simple acts of kindness. As we gather for special celebrations, I embrace our similarities and celebrate our distinctions.

While away from home, I stay in touch by reaching out. I send a note, email, or text. I call, “FaceTime” or “Skype.” Near or far, I bless others with warm thoughts and prayers of gratitude for their presence in my life.

Healthy Choices

I am Spirit, mind and body. I am whole and healthy!

I make healthy choices in all areas of my life. Since we are threefold in nature – Spirit, mind and body – it is important that we support all aspects of our beingness. In a very basic sense, Spirit gives rise to mind as mind gives rise to body. Even so, they are a unit and each “interacts” with the other.

My Spiritual Nature is my primary. While it is timelessly whole and perfect, I still must take care to remember It. I daily invest time in meditation and prayer. Through these practices I remember my Divinity and live more aligned with It.

I care for my mind by carefully selecting reading materials, what I listen to and what I watch. I find things that feed and support a healthy and happy frame of mind. I use denials to disempower error thoughts. I use affirmations to claim new ways of thinking and being.

I must also care for my body. I listen to my body and do what I need to do. I exercise and stretch regularly. I take long walks without the distractions of my cell phone. I make sure I eat a balanced diet that is best for my body.

Overall, I trust my inner wisdom to guide me on how to care for my mind and body. I also notice that inner knowing of when to meditate and simply be. I effortlessly know what to think, say and do. I am whole and healthy!

Glory

“Christ in me, my hope of glory.” I am Christ!

The Christian scriptures report the apostle Paul told early Christians “Christ in you, the hope of glory” (Col. 1:27). Unity cofounder Charles Fillmore called these the “most important words in the world.” It is good to remember and claim this Truth in order to know my Divine Nature. It is not in me like a wiener in a bun. It is my True “Identity.” It is the Truth that underlies my personality and my body.

At times I forget. I give my attention to my sense consciousness. I focus on the outer realm. As soon as I am aware of doing this, I pause, take a deep breath and affirm, “Christ in me, my hope of glory.” I am Christ! My innate glory shines from within my consciousness. Answers arise in my awareness.  God-Love shines forth from me and I return to a place of contentment and glory.

Each time I remember my True Nature, I strengthen my spiritual muscles. My Christ Nature opens more and more into my awareness. I realize wholeness. I realize my glory! “Christ in me my hope of glory.” I am Christ. I am Divine; I express my Divinity.
